Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how FormSnap ("the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information Collection

FormSnap is designed with a privacy-first approach. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

• No analytics or tracking: We do not use any analytics frameworks or tracking tools.
• No advertising: The App contains no ads and no advertising SDKs.
• No third-party SDKs: Other than Apple system frameworks and the Google/YouTube API (used only when you explicitly choose to upload), the App includes no third-party code.
• No server-side storage: We do not operate any servers that collect or store your data.

2. Camera and Microphone Usage

FormSnap requires access to your device's camera and microphone to record slow-motion videos of sports form and technique.

• Camera: Used exclusively for capturing video within the App. No photos or videos are taken without your direct action.
• Microphone: Used to capture audio alongside video recordings. Audio recording only occurs during active video capture initiated by you.

3. Photo Library Access

FormSnap Pro users may export recorded videos to the device's Photo Library.

• Photo Library access is requested only when you initiate an export.
• The App only writes to the Photo Library; it does not read or access your existing photos or videos.

4. Data Storage and Security

All videos recorded within FormSnap are stored locally on your device within the App's private sandbox.

• Encryption: All stored videos are encrypted using AES-256-GCM, an industry-standard encryption algorithm.
• App Sandbox: Video files are stored within the App's sandboxed directory and are not accessible to other apps.
• No cloud sync: Videos are not automatically uploaded or synced to any cloud service.
• Data remains on device: Your videos never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export or upload them.

5. Third-Party Services

Google OAuth and YouTube (Pro Feature)

FormSnap Pro offers the ability to upload videos to YouTube as unlisted videos. This feature uses:

• Google OAuth 2.0: For secure authentication with your Google account. We request only the minimum permissions needed for YouTube uploads.
• YouTube Data API v3: Used solely to upload videos as unlisted content to your YouTube account.

When you use this feature:

• Your Google OAuth refresh token and associated email address are stored securely in the device's Keychain.
• Video data is sent directly from your device to YouTube's servers only when you explicitly initiate an upload.
• Uploaded videos are set as unlisted by default and are only visible to people with the link.
• We do not access, read, or modify any other data in your Google or YouTube account.

When using the YouTube upload feature, Google's own privacy practices apply to the data processed by their services. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details.

6. In-App Purchases

FormSnap offers a Pro upgrade through Apple's StoreKit 2 framework.

• All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
• We do not collect, process, or store any payment information.
• Purchase history and subscription management are handled by Apple. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

7. Children's Privacy

FormSnap is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through our App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or other appropriate means.
